Sharan Hegde, the entrepreneur and founder of The 1% Club, experienced a jarring security breach on his YouTube channel, "financewithsharan." The incident serves as a stark reminder of the ever-present threat of cyberattacks and the importance of robust online security measures.

Hegde reported via Instagram that his YouTube account was compromised, with hackers hijacking the channel to livestream Bitcoin prices. The unauthorized stream falsely indicated that Bitcoin had surged to $100,000, causing confusion and concern among his followers.

According to Hegde, the hackers deleted all content from the YouTube channel during the intrusion. Fortunately, the content was later recovered.

In his post, he stated, "The hacker took control of the account & started a live stream of Bitcoin prices reaching $100k - without my consent, of course. Within minutes, I got 100s of DMs from you guys informing me about the fact. Thank you so much for alerting me but unfortunately the channel got terminated & I didn't know what to do. My 3 years of hard work just disappeared right in front of my eyes.”
